Companies manufacturing moisturizers include Johnson and Johnson, Lakme, Olay, Dove, Nivea, Ponds and so on. Apart from these company manufactured moisturizers you can also use various homemade moisturizers. These natural moisturizers do not have any harmful chemicals in them. They are quite effective and safe to apply on skin. Honey is one of the best natural moisturizers. Honey mixed with milk is very good for your skin. Honey is used widely in various moisturizing products. Vitamin E is also a very good moisturizer which helps to retain the water in skin. You can also use olive oil with lemon juice and yoghurt. Almonds can be also mixed with it which is also very good for your skin.

Moisture cream:

3 tablespoons wheat germ oil; 3 tablespoons honey; 1 oz.glycerin; ½ oz. rose water; 1 oz. witch hazel. Method: Mix all the ingredients throuly and form a cream. Moisture cream is ready and store it into a container.

Water Melon Moisturizer -Take one slice of water melon. Take one tablespoon of lemon juice. Squeeze the juice of lemon over the watermelon slice and refrigerate it for 22 minutes. Now take out the slice and cut it into bits and place it over the face.

Jasmine Moisture Cream - Melt the 2 teaspoons wax, oil and 1 teaspoon lanolin together over a water bath. In a separate bowl heat water, 11/2 of glycerine and 1/2 of borax. Make sure the borax is completely dissolved, then add witch-hazel. Slowly add water to the oils, and stir constantly until cool.

Lanolin Moisturizer - Steps to make lanolin moisturizer:

Take one tablespoon of lanolin.
Take 1 ½ tablespoon of almond oil.
Take 1 vitamin E capsule.
Take 2 teaspoons of cold water.

Jasmine Moisture Cream


2 tablespoons emulsifying wax
2 tablespoons almond or sunflower oil
1 teaspoon lanolin
1/2 teaspoon borax
1 teaspoon witch-hazel
11/2 teaspoons glyerine

Avocado moisturizer:

Take one teaspoon honey, 200 gm curd, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, a medium size avocado. Mix honey and the pulp of avocado and make a thick paste of it, then add lemon juice and curd to make stiff cream. Keep in fredge for half an hour. Massage the mixture well on face and neck, leave it on for one night and you will see a luster to your skin.

Other moisturizers

* Mix ¾ cup of rosewater, ¼ cup of glycerine, 1 teaspoon of vinegar and ¼ teaspoon of honey. Store it in a bottle and use it regularly after cleansing.

* Take 2 teaspoon of lettuce juice, ½ teaspoon of almond oil, ½ teaspoon of oatmeal powder, ½ teaspoon of honey. Mix all these ingredients and apply it.
